Candace Cameron Bure appeared on several episodes of St. Elsewhere in the early ‘80s and appeared alongside older brother Kirk Cameron on two episodes of Growing Pains before getting her big break on Full House. Cameron Bure played the oldest sister, D.J. Tanner, on the sitcom from 1987 to 1995. The California native married hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996 and focused on motherhood — she is mother of daughter Natasha, and sons Maksim and Lev — before returning to acting in the early ‘00s.

Cameron Bure starred on Make It or Break It from 2009 to 2012 and found success with the Hallmark Channel, starring in A Christmas Detour, A Shoe Addict’s Christmas and Christmas Town. In 2015, she began portraying librarian Aurora Teagarden in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries series for the network.

The mother of three reprised her role as D.J. Tanner on Fuller House from 2016 to 2020. She has also written numerous books, including 2018’s Kind Is the New Classy and children’s stories Candace Center Stage and Grow, Candace, Grow.
