Gilmore Girls is a comedy-drama TV series which stars Lauren Graham as single mother Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel as her daughter, Rory Gilmore. Lorelai left her wealthy upbringing behind for small-town life after getting pregnant at 16. She learns to navigate motherhood and a strained relationship with her parents while working toward her own dream of opening an inn.

The series also features Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy), Lane Kim (Keiko Agena), Luke Danes (Scott Patterson), Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop), Richard Gilmore (Edward Herrmann), Paris Geller (Liza Weil), Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki), Michel Gerard (Yanic Truesdale), Jess Mariano (Milo Ventimiglia), Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) and Kirk Gleason (Sean Gunn).

Gilmore Girls premiered on The WB in 2000 but moved to The CW for its seventh and final season. After the series ended in 2007,  a four-part miniseries called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life debuted on Netflix in 2016 with Graham, Bledel and more original stars reprising their roles.
